Both photos were taken at the press release of these trucks.

Trucks? Or Kits? Or just a concept vehicle?

The J12, in brilliant red, uses Wrangler doors and hinges, as well as an extended version of the Mopar JK-8 pickup truck conversion bed. It's built on top of a Wrangler Unlimited chassis that’s been extended 18 inches and fitted with a Mopar 3-inch lift kit, Teraflex sway bars coupled to an ARB air locker, Dynatrac D44 and D-0 axle assemblies, and 36-inch mud tires, all mounted to 16-inch wheels. The new bed is 6 feet long.

With its low backed bench seat and lack of side marker lights, the little Gladiator progeny wouldn't make the NHTSA cut, but there are undoubtedly many — truck enthusiasts and regular guys alike — who would like to see it become a viable market offering.

Byron,

Maybe you didn't realize it but there is an unwritten World Wide Web forum posting pictures rule. You can't post the same picture in multiple threads. Al Gore made this rule right after he invited the internet. ;):D

The guy climbing the ladder is a harbor pilot. They guide the large ships into the ports. A friend of mine does this in San Francisco and brings in the super tankers under the golden gate. Nice job, he works about 11 days a month and makes $500K a year.

Yea, ex-brother in law was a harbor pilot.... Pulled in $750k/yr working 2 weeks on 1 week off. That was back in 2000, can't imagine what he's pulling in today. It's great to be owner in a government controlled monopoly if you can get the work!
