A couple of old beauties have made the transit via lock from Shinnecock Bay, to Peconic bay the past few days..
I could not identify the make of either of these boats, I think the smaller one might be a Mathews, but that is based on recollections that a friend of my dads owned a Mathews that looked similar...
Old wooden boats like these take so much work to keep in bristol fashion... the owners of these boats are to be commended...
BTW, I am working on the bridge in the background, we are making ready to jack the bridge up and replace the original bearings with seismic compliant bearings, along with retrofitting the rest of the bridge....
