No, we're not perfect, but for the most part despite your family, your postal code, or color, you, being responsible for your own actions, may rise to any station you desire.

The ability to rise above or sink below your station in life is dependent on you, and your decisions. American freedom includes the right to succeed or the right to fail.

There are no MBE's running our companies.

in the grand scheme of things, we've been "ruled" by just about everybody

We have reason to be "exited" (excited). The Queen controls a major portion of cattle in the U.S. There have been stories circulating that after the elections, she and her silent partners plan to withhold beef sales, and starve the U.S. into British submission. Haggis will be the meat dish of choice.

Oil will be next.

Then British literature.

lol...

Normally I would agree but, given the choice between McDonalds and something called "Spotted Dick", I guess I'll, you know, like go for the Golden Arches.

I do wish we had more "Mind the gap." here.

OK, no more saving those guys from the Germans.

And since the Germans are pretty regular about starting wars to dominate Europe... looks like the Brits have about 14 years left.

Couldn’t figure out how to make them leak oil!

Is Aluminum actually pronounced "Ala-Mini-um" ? Who knew!

Was this attributed to John Cleese the first time, I thought it was when Reagan was the President, seem to remember it as a fax

Spotted dick is a dessert, I have managed to avoid it for the last 30 odd years, maybe one day I will pluck up the courage to try it! Oh and if you have done a fair bit of travelling using the London Underground "Mind the gap" gets a little boring after a while.

When Hillary starts moving in all the stuff she slipped out the back door last time, you boys will be longing for the Queen of England.

BTW, Stijn is not from England.
