Anyone seen this Volvo?
Took pictures on the Merritt in CT back in Sept. last year. Haven't seen it since.

Volvo C30
I test drove one a few weeks back. VERY fun little car. Lots of neat little quirks and one of the coolest interiors I have seen. 227HP turbo 5 cylinder with a 6 speed. |

Funny you post this. I was going to look at one of these this week. They look like a blast.

Saw one just now. There is a red one in my apartment garage. Beautiful hatchback, but not in the price range I'm looking at right now...

I've seen the C-30 at the Volvo dealer and the L.A. Auto Show. The interior is very roomy for the size of the car, and definitely high level. The 5-cylinder engine gets it to 60 mph in 6 seconds, IIRC. It's really a lot of car for its size and cost - less than $30K.
I haven't seen a single example on the L.A. streets. Maybe consumers aren't used to a three-door hatchback Volvo as opposed to the traditional Volvo sedan. There's a comparo test of a C-30 somewhere on line. I can't remember what the the C-30 was pitted against, but it held its own pretty well in speed, handling and braking. They're cool little cars.

Saw one yesterday in Philly...I went to the funeral of Frank Piasecki and followed one for a few miles on 95.

They're slowly getting out there. I saw one a couple of weeks ago on the 405.

Wish I could get one now. Boston is a big Saab (oldest dealership in country) and Volvo market, so I am surprised I don't see these things scooting around.
Tons of Prius' though, filling my head with monster truck dreams when in the 4Runner. ![]()

These have been here for at least a year or more. Don't see too many on the streets. I never even looked at one before I bought my GTI last year, but I do think they look pretty good.
Cheers
