Senator's Campaing for Presidency

OK, please educate me here. No party flames here, it applies to both parties.

How is it that we have senators collecting their paychecks but not showing up to work since they are campaigning?

Reminds me when Dole ran and quit his position since he would in essence be stealing.

I guess that there is no law against this.........

I just went in and told my Boss I was going to look for another job and he was to keep paying me during this time. He said "We will mail you your final check"

This is crazy. I told my boss the same thing but he/I told myself to go work for the government if I want that break.

On the "vote missers" I'm not surprised since its an election year and they must be careful what they support (sounds crazy but the system is broken).

For example none of the 3 voted on the (used to be) tax rebate/economy incentive plan.

If you are absent and don't vote for or against anything, it makes it easier to switch your position.

Obama does not need to vote on anymore stuff, he already won the "Most Liberal Senator" award

Even more difficult to understand is how a job that pays less than $600K per year is worth spending literally hundreds of millions of dollars to get!

Gee, ya don't suppose they use the office for any personal or business gain for the nice guys who pony up all that cash.
