It's a good night...

Was originally going to tackle a tile project today...instead had lunch at my favorite local bar (burger and a few guinness) - fast forward a few hours, I'm a couple kettle one and tonics down, plus one russian imperial stoudt, cooking some pasta, turkey meatballs, got Frank on the stereo, and opening a bottle of red wine....it's a good night indeed....

Bottle of Chianti, Grilled some Porterhouse steaks that I hit with a dash of Montreal Rub.

As I stood outside at the Grill, barefoot, with Big Head Todd playing on the porch speakers and the sky a reddish tint as the sun set, I said, yup, its a good night.

Great dinner and now I am running around getting stuff ready for a PCA AX in the morning.

Car is packed four 10" wide slicks in the back of my RX7 with a floor jack underneath somewhere. Salute! Fellas!

FYI - I loaned 2 of my tire covers to a "friend" and now they are gone.........

Never loan out your tools or your wife. I am still steamed about the tire covers, I need to pick up 2 more.

Spent a few hours in the pool, water temp 80, air temp 60.

Short a few bottles of vino.

Perfect Tejas winter day.

Its an even better morning over here. In 24.5 hours I will be boarding the big silver mailing tube and heading back home! The BBQ will be stoked about 30 minutes after I get in the door!

Remind her of that in 50 years when you are retired and pooping in your pants and need some help!

Put together a new bbq, leftover fish tacos from El Patio, a fine bottle of pinot noir, an hour in the hot tub in the rain with some bossanova playing in the background with my geez honey. Yes, gentleman, life is good

Joe, (almost) welcome home. I trust you have some stories to tell? Bringing anything extra home in the large suitcase?
