In my half-awake morning news reading routine, I suspected this thread might be about Hillary, winning something, because she was best at something. Imagine my disappointment...

I heard the winners on the radio driving in this morning. Hadn't seen any of the movies and never heard of the actor winners. Oh well.

Actually, "no country for old men" won a whole collection of awards -- and that was a great movie. If you haven't seen it, I strongly recommend doing so. I'm not a movie guy, for the most part, but that's one I'll probably buy when it comes out. The other one I recognized was "there will be blood," which I've heard good things about. It's encouraging for me to know that my sources for taste in movies are people who can generally recommend movies that get awards, even if I don't have time to go see most of the movies.
