need new monitors

So my SONY SDM-M51 monitors (2) are starting to give up the ghost and I have to slap the screens sometimes to get them to respond. I need two new monitors, and must have VGA.

Any suggestions? thanks

I think most LCD monitors still have models with a VGA input. Can't go wrong with a Dell or other big name companies.

I know you are pulling my leg. While quite nice, they have moved beyond VGA and are bigger than I need.

Yea but they last forever. A good used one would still be better than a "PC" monitor right?

not necessarily. My SONYs lasted a long time. Apple does not make the screens, they just buy one of the best and repackage it.

I bought a SONY TV because of my experience with these monitors.

I looke at iiyama but could not figure if sub-d connector meant VGA or DVI. Their website was unclear.

It would be work to buy an LCD display that did not have both VGA and DVI inputs. Sub-D is typically VGA.

Go to Costco and pick up a pair of 22" Samsung displays - about $235 each. Or surf Dealnews.com to see what's on sale.

Since you make your living in front of them, pick good ones - test them out, read the specs and reviews.

How did I know that pic was going to be posted. I have actually opened my garage to my friends, and stuff is flying out the door with my wallet getting bigger already. I am enjoying this.

I have a 22 inch Dell widescreen and two 20 inch ViewSonic's.

Not sure which one is better, they all are nice but the widescreen sure helps at times on some applications.

I have been real happy with my Dell 2007WFP Widescreen 20" . I bought it thru the Dell Outlet site for almost $100 off list. Not a scratch or dead pixel. Very nice quality plus VGA.
