Question How do I remove IE from the latest Windows OS?

Guys, how do I remove IExplorer from the latest Windows OS? I messed with it last week and somehow screwed it up so it's not working correctly now. I figured I'd remove it and re-install it, which should get it up and running correctly again.

However, in the control panel, I do not see the program in the add/remove section. It seems MS doesn't want to make it easy for me to uninstall.

Help.

You can remove IE from windoze ?????

I thought the OS was based on that browser?????

Maybe, try a reinstall of IE, if that is even possible ...

1) go to www.ubuntu.com and download the iso.
2) boot it.
3) install it dual boot so it will copy over a lot of your settings.
enjoy the desktop experience while you do

Failing that, what about a system restore point?

Dave. It's Vista.

Carsten, with XP you could uninstall IE using the Add/Remove Programs feature (I believe, MS lost a class-action lawsuit about just that very issue if I'm not mistaken). It seems MS is trying to make it a bit more difficult now.

idi0t, I totally forgot about the system restore point feature.

(Update. I did a system restore back to the 20th, the last day before I screwed with IE. All seems well now. Thanks idi0t!)

I have it. I just like to switch around sometimes. Firefox isn't all that, at times, so sometimes I decide to use IE.

Scott, FYI there is an extension for Firefox that allows you to open IE tabs within Firefox. Very convenient when you stumble across the occasional site that does not run well with Firefox.
