Creation Adventure Team...

This is hilarious.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AiZdSoQhLxU

What do you guys think about what the creationists are teaching their children? I hope they don't run into a cuddly vegetarian bear...

dewolf 02-28-2008 02:11 AM

That's the delusional fantasy we hear all the time on those other threads. I can't believe people fall for that sh$t.

dewolf 02-28-2008 02:26 AM

This ***** needs to be executed. This is child abuse of a type I'd kill that ***** for.

I will have to restrain myself and just simply :).

kstar 02-28-2008 06:26 AM

I'll take a positive approach. :)

I salute the religious folks who comprehend evolution and teach their children the facts of evolution.

Best,

Kurt

I guess if BELIEVING that a unproven THEORY helps you sleep at night it is OK with me.

kstar 02-28-2008 07:00 AM

:eek::rolleyes::eek::rolleyes:

edit: Evolution is not an unproven theory, FWIW.

Creationism IS an unsubstantiated hypothesis.

Those are simply the facts whether one wishes to accept them or not.

Best,

Kurt

Okay I'm not going to drag this into another theological pissing match.

I apologize for questioning your belief system on a thread that openly ridicules mine.

I'm done here.

kstar 02-28-2008 07:14 AM

I'm not offended and sorry if I have offended you.

FWIW, I'm not into theology, but I do like biology. :)

edit: I would also not be offended if someone started a thread making fun of evolution.

I really do not comprehend sensitivities about beliefs which are very strong.

Best,

Kurt

frogger 02-28-2008 07:19 AM

I really, really, really wish there was no sin so we could have T-Rex tickling us. Wouldn't that be great? :)

kstar 02-28-2008 07:21 AM

The Creation Adventure Team and the video posted above were created by those in support of creationism, FYI.

Best,

Kurt

Same old same old.

Doug:

I like the Buckley quote; I guess "we" are slowing making an impact on you. :)

No kidding

You don't even recognize your double standards are showing, which is very amusing to me.

BTW, offensive is okay, but man up when someone calls you on it

I am honestly missing your point.

Let me know where I am applying double standards, please, and I'd be happy to "man up to it".

Thanks!

Best,

Kurt

And, FWIW, I thought the posted video was a parody, making fun of creationists. After doing some clicking around, I discovered it was serious - that surprised me!

Mr. Puff stated it was "hilarious" and I agree.

I do sincerely state that I am not, nor would I be, offended if someone was to ridicule my acceptance of evolution.

I do not understand how folks can be so sensitive about beliefs that they claim are so very strong. I'm just the opposite; when I feel strongly about something, I am not likely to get my feelings hurt if someone attacks or ridicules that feeling.

YMMV.

Best,

Kurt

Exactly. The video was created in opposition of evolution, and not necessarily to prove creationism (I hope). You guys have to admit that it is pretty ridiculous to assume that dinosaurs with large pointy teeth used them to cut through vegetation, form follows function. If the T-Rex was meant to eat ferns, and what not, then it would have cutting and grinding teeth like a cow.

Keep in mind I am not in opposition of creationism. I even find it highly coincidental how evolution happened in the first place. Something may have had a hand in it, or not. It is just obvious that things did not happen in six days, with one day of rest. Carbon dating and Fossils prove this wrong.

My point, I offer that maybe our concept of time as it applies to God is flawed. Maybe time passes slower for God than it does for us. What if 10,000 years passes in a blink of an eye? Six days can easily turn into millions of years.

I like Christians, my whole family, I do not like evangelicals. Watch "Jesus Camp" to see why; it is available on YouTube.

dewolf 02-28-2008 12:29 PM

My German Shepherd has large pointy teeth to. Should I start feeding her ferns and vegetation. I don't think she'd last long. What a croc of @#$%

scottmandue 02-28-2008 12:38 PM

OK I will man up... I woke up cranky... on the way into work I stopped at the gas station and had to try three pumps until I found one that worked... then here at work reaching under a piece of heavy equipment to pick up some trash a brat had thrown under it put a nice ding in the top of my balding head.

Sorry Kurt, I like 99% of your posts... I was in a bad mood and probably shouldn't have made that post.
