I'm glad somebody has it figured out. If only we could all be sophisticated and informed as are you.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/oink.gif

Hmm,

I read bozo moderators as moderators that monitor the bozos, not that the mods are bozos.

Since when did Iran become our enemy? Oh yeah when it doesn't follow every whim that Washington DC has.

Some people just like to wrap themselves in the flag and proclaim everything that they do is virtious. The reality is that the USA has acted just like anyother great power before us. We have acted in our own self interest. The mistake is not in our actions but our belief in our own virtiousity.

I thought it started when they stormed the US embassy (sovereign US territory) and imprisoned the diplomats and soldiers for over one year. About the same time, they adopted their favorite government-sanctioned slogan, "Death to America". The US was a handy boogey-man for the revolutionaries.

My 1st cozin was career State Dept, Communications Supervisor. He said that the CIA told everybody well before hand to get out of Iran. The only people left were the Ambassador and US Military Intel types who didn't want to give up a new building that they had just built. His opinion was that they were fools for not leaving.

The only way for Iran to rid themselves of American meddling in Iran's affairs was to kick America out of the country. While that is an adversarial stance, 30 years has passed and there have been numerous opportunities to mend the bridges with Iran. The latest was in 2003, however the Bush admin decided to include Iran in a "AXIS of Evil" My Mother has always told me you catch more flies with honey than salt. That phrase pushed Iran away, which has led to a furtherance of hostility.

All that fat seems to be fueling your ignorance. So you compare the actions of the USA to the Roman Empire, Mongol Hordes, Nazi Germany, Soviet Union? Are you this ignorant or do you despise the USA, which is it? Both?

Mend fences with the mullahs? Are you insane? You need to be wearing a clown face, or maybe a table cloth with a fan belt holding it in place.

A few decades have passed and you forget the Cold War already? Iraq was a Soviet client and Iran was in the First World. Of course the US acted in our self interest. What else would you expect? Walk away from Iran and let the Soviets influence both of these key oil producers?
