Looks "slightly" better than a GTR.

Good. I was just thinking how beautiful the previous GTO was and how ugly the G8 is.

Looks like a great performance car that makes sense. Of course GM won't build it and it will stay a "concept" car.

Actually the GTO/ Monaro was also a concept that Holden said they wouldn't build, but they did with great success, here in Oz anyway. So you can pretty much guarantee this will be available at some point in the future.

I don't mind them actually. I think there may be slight styling difference between the G8 and the GTS

You mean the GTO that looked like a '90s Monte Carlo? I'll take the G8 any day.

Speaking of the G8, the G8's Holden brother is now being offered with a 500 HP Corvette V8. How long until that shows up as a G8? Maybe Pontiac and "driving excitement" will finally have something in common.

I think the lines on this car are generally good, but, after seeing this car and the new Challenger, I wonder, why on Earth are so many of these new cars so chunky?

I wonder if Pontiac will get a clue. The retro styled Mustang has sold well. There's all sorts of buzz about the Camaro and Challenger. Will Pontiac figure out what's working and create a true GTO styled GTO? It's really sad that they kept that name plate in their back pocket for all these years then slapped it on an Australian coupe.

Nice looking, but sooo many cars today share sooo may styling commonalities that I'm not easily excited by styling alone - e.g.:

Nissan, Pontiac, etc etc.. they all look so similar. Give me an old Goat!

A few of us drove down to Oceanside for a Pontiac get together two weeks ago. It was held at Jim Wangers location. He was in charge of the Pontiac division in it's muscle car hayday!

Mr. Wanger... bad rug, nice guy!

Wanger's Judge!

Very nice '64

'64s would rock. So would that Judge. One of the neighborhood guys' went 13.98, stone stock, even with the crappy tires we had back then.

the previous GTO was fast, but looked like a rental car.
