Good luck, I am a Periodontist and a Pcar nut as well. Seriously we do it to help you and not to torture you! Watch out for the pretty assistants, they don't last long.

Been there, done that.
Take your ipod. Turn it up loud. Helps as much as the drugs. Gary |

Beware! My former dentist is a pilot. He bought a brand new Mooney, I'd guess about $500k worth. Shortly thereafter, my wife and I both had several teeth that needed capped, they started double billing us, and their rates went up. Coincidence?

Charles,
Focus your attention on the tiny golden hairs on the assistant's forearms and everything will be fine.

I went the surgical route many years ago...no memories of the actual procedure. You must babble a lot under the truth serum. My buddy showed to drive me home. He'd been in a car wreck, his forehead a mass of scar tissue at the time. The Doc: "Is this the guy you had the fight with?" HOOT...I'd been in a fight, opened a cut over a guy's eye...must have talked about it while under the influence. Man...they slipped the needle in my arm, asked me to count backwards...I don't think I made it to 9...from 10.

There are some horror stories of botched extractions.
I think a Periodontist will be more gentle on the bone, do more follow up, and be able to monitor a bone graft if one is needed. Other options are a dentist, or oral surgeon. Anyway good luck. I hope it's not the lowers. |

oh god am i laughing from that pic and it hurts alot!!! remember nothing coming home slept like a drooling baby until 6pm. got up thirsty as hell and that woke me up! then had some jello another mistake and finally some noodles. its 2am woke up w/severe gas that even drove the goofier than sh!! wolf weimereiner outta the room. decided to NOT wake up g/friend with that noise and so upstairs i am prowling pelican. took some aleve and feeling better w/some pepto bismol. upper left still sore as hell and sleeping on it is out of the question. my perio-dontal doc has the super 90 as mentioned a 93 RS AMERICA and an 89 speedster . he was happy as hell for the PCA sticker and wanted some more. ive known him for about 13 years now from when i got my other upper wiz dumb tooth removed which started the long periodontal trip i have been on now. every quarter year cleanings and life is good and my breath doesnt smell lak kerosene and i have no cavities! trust me....... brushing twice a day and flossing after every meal is SOUND ADVICE from someone whom owns (3) porsches! |
