George,

Go back and play with your air boats. You make a lot more sense with them.

Seriously, not good to hear this news. The only 'good' is that these hits seem to be on the decline. (btw, George, Barry O' had better Hope that things settle down in the world .. if they don't, he will not win even the primary. --not I said 'Hope" because between now and then, we all know he will do nOthIng to alleviate international problems.)

Hey, your wonderful Democratic leaders have been in charge of this for over a year now, so its NOT BUSH'S fault now. They were going to bring the troops home or so I seem to remember.

What happened George? Cat got your tongue? Why isnt this taken care of already? The Dems are in charge and all is well now!!!

That's easy. Gas is only $4.00 a gallon in CA., (as opposed to ~$1.60 before bungled invasion), and the U.S. dollar is now worth slightly less than a Canadian dollar for the first time in memory. Also, the second great depression in the U.S. is only just getting started thanks to the $12B @ month being wasted in Iraq and the rest of our currency being shipped-out to China and OPEC. I almost forgot Mexico, silly me. Few hundred million goes there, after it is earned here tax-free.

From the neocon perspective, there is plenty of room for "improvement" in all of these areas, especially the goal that they share w/ OBL of a wider regional conflict in the ME. Both think that it will be "defining". And both are sicker than a rabid skunk and need to be killed.

What would the price have been had we left Saddam to do what he wanted?

When was gas last ~$1.60 in CA?

Is regular or super $4.00 . . .and is that typical?

Hmmm, gas was under $2 last year. When was the "bungled invasion"?

Reaching, as always.

Plotting gas prices with inflation tells another story. ...and it's not a story of "Bush caused high gas prices"

Actually, if you had paid attention to Paul Wolfowitz and Dick Cheney during their cheerlleading for invading Iraq, you would know that the invasion was going to (along with being greeted with flowers in Iraq) be a good thing per oil since Iraq's oil not only would pay for the war/reconstruction of Iraq but it would assist with overall prices.

Hmmm.....wonder how that worked out?

Try to keep up Joe, when gas prices were low last year HardFlex posted this

"Sorry guys, but the instability that Bush has caused is a Major reason the prices went up. He can impact the prices upwards, but not downwards.

Now that the Adults are back in charge and he's a lame duck, prices are down again."

Wait a minute....I am getting confused Maybe Hard Flex or one of the other Bush haters will make sense of this for us. Price went down due to new lefty congress or up again now due to them. Or was it Bush that controls this..........It is just so confusing I wish I had some of those magic glasses that allows me to see where to place blame on the gas prcies at any given time like all the lefties seem to have.

My ****ing ass I'm "reaching". Do you want to agree to pay the difference in price between your BS chart and actual prices in LA right now? Do I seem pissed-off about the price of fuel right now? Not nearly as PO'ed as I am about dead-ender apologists like you who rationalize and dismiss the causes of the current oil situation. I just paid $4.00 for a ****ing loaf of bread at the market yesterday, and that is because of current U.S. policies and the price of diesel.

Your chart is from a month ago when regular was only $3.56 a gallon, yesterday premium (what I burn) was $3.99 at Arco and most everywhere else. I saw $4.39 premium @ a UNOCAL station in BH Fri. night. Just because you and President schit-for-brains don't know what a gallon of gas costs to a working person, doesn't make it cheaper.

Denis, Breath deep ... The chart is for average Regular. I just pulled that chart from 'gasbuddy.com' They tend to be very accurate. But if you say it's not your world, then okay. ...just say so.

Geezes people have been cranky around here lately.

Actually, wheat and barley crops have been having a tough season. (Beer prices are on the rise as well. )

Maybe resurrect 'Global warming' so you can still blame GW Bush and current U.S. policies for the freakishly cold season.

Really sorry to hear about your soldiers.

But what did anyone really expect, invading a territory filled to the rim with Allah rambling fundamentalist lunatics way beyond control of themselves or anyone else?

It will get worse before it gets any better. Run forest! Run!

Repost of a chart a while back (chart stops in 2005):

The chart below is from 2005, it's now 2008. How long will everyone but Ron Paul keep ignoring this as an issue?

Yes and remember that this was when the Repubs were in charge. Now that the Dems are in charge, wonder what the gas price is today?

So..............the price of "wheat and barley" is your excuse when it is pointed out that you fuked up in your post on the price of gasoline?

Interesting comeback...but not totally unexpected.
