I Love Chaos
I thrive on chaos, maybe because I am so used to it.
Anyway as a subtext to this thread about the state of the financial world RAPE, RAPE...BEar Sterns investors including former employees are forming up for a Class Action Law Suit...one on the grounds that if Bear Sterns was in such bad shape why wasn't it shown on the balance sheet. The others are claiming that $2 a share is too little that the co is worth more...The countervailing arguement is that if the government did not step in and broker a deal between JPM and BS the share price would be zero. Let those cry rape rape all they want they ain't gona stop a done deal. The government is looking at the bigger isssue and wants this mess cleared away so that the financial system doesn't tank for real. Some of the loudest voices may get a pay off to go away, but the general share holders including institutions will have to assume the position and take it like a man in prison. Behind th Curve..... This is about so many who run around like chickens with their heads cut off in these turblent times. The sky is falling the sky is falling...the object of the game is to look ahead and see what is on the horizon and not get caught up in the hype of the day. So many of th epeople on this Board get caught up in the furor, mostly because of thier own ignorance. U can have a MS or PhD in science and still be a financial dolt. Today oil futures spiked up becaue the Fed reduced rates 3/4 of a point. The thinking being that the $$$ will fall further thus causing the price of oil to go up in dollar terms. The dollar actually firmed and the price of ZGold dropped about $10 an 0z....If the World Central Banks act in unison to support the $$$ then the dollar will increase in value, and comodity prices will decline. U wana bet that isn't the next shoe to fall? The FEd and Treasury (GW) have become afraid of a Great Depression scenerio and with the failure of BS have stepped in to reassure the markets. BS had to fail it was a house of cards with a weight of illiquidity placed on top of it. Ifyou Boiyz recall I have been talking about a crisis of liquidity for a long while. Actually Citi may have to fall and/or be forced spin off its asssets to finally clean out the house of cards that the wall street wiz kids greed created. But the Treasury and Fed have said this is it BOyz, U have run amok for too long and now the parents are taking away the mismanaged toys of the wiz kids. It finally got that serious. But you just had to know it would get to that point, darkest before dawn and all that crud. Anyway going forward it looks like a brightening picture with regards to the economy and Stock Market 10 months out. RE is still going to be death as an investment for the foreseeable future 3-4 years The Bind market is kaput, can't sell a new muni-bond issue for love nor money...one state maybe in grave danger of going BK...or as I like to see it fall into the ocean because of its debt. For U Bush bashers...you have to realize that Brenke was chosen to be head of the Fed because of his expertise on the Great Depression. Which was caused because of a lack of liquidity in the Stock Market and then Banks. Today it is the credit market that is illiquid. So somebody in the admin chose really well. The other guy that is on top of the situation is Hank Paulson at Treasury. The guy knows exactly how to play the Chinese card down to the T. So Bushy put too really capable guys in positons that matter.

In my estimation, it's a good time to buy realestate here, which works in my favor as the wife has kicked my a$$ out and apartment dwelling just blows.
