Whats your food bill?
With 2 teenagers and a 9yo how many of you all are spending more on food then your mortgage? We are talking over 800 bucks a month! Its getting crazy, how can kids eat so much?? I cant believe how cheap it was when they were babies..

Hmm...I spend $1,200 a month on my mortgage and $500 a month on food for my wife and myself (and it's only that high because we eat out 1-2 times a week.)

We had one of those one year balloon mortgages a few years ago, it seemed best to pay it off when the year was up. My wife buys all the food, I've been with her when people complain how much (milk for instance) is. She'll say she doesn't know, if she need's it she's going to buy it.

Milk is a big one in our house, must be 8 to 10 gallons a week..

Getting to be enough that with higher gas, etc. (and ammo!) costs I've planted a garden this year. Green beans, squash, spinach, tomatoes, hot peppers, bell peppers, pumpkins, watermelon and cantalope. Thinking I may start deer hunting again next fall to put some meat in the freezer as well...
