So after work today

I went for a sail. Beautiful weather - wind was 8-12 mph - With a few beers it was a great way to decompress.

Looks awesome. The weather has been great here also, but I haven't had a chance to get out on the water yet. What kind of boat? Looks a lot like a hunter I go out on.

Looks nice. You've found a place to escape the Blue Hair Geritol set in St Pete's.

Used to do this every night. Lived in the Eastern part of Oklahoma, up in the forests and 3 miles away from a very large lake. Got off work, stopped by the 7/11 for some Coors and went straight to the dock where my boat was docked.

An hour or so and a couple of beers and life was good again... it sure does relax you after a long day.

My buddy does them every week on the St. Johns ! BTW Byron, I'm coming down next weekend to do some sailing. I don't have a set agenda, but may have a few hours to kill next Fri. afternoon. I'll probably be right over the Buckman from OP, so maybe we can have a cold one if you're not busy? I'm jeleous Jeremy...I do miss the water aspect of living in Fla.

Jealous!

I rented a hobie 16 while I was in Mexico last week. What a blast, and great to be on the water again.

Then I get home and there's still 1' of snow on my sailboat. Ah well, I'm still pumped for the spring, and it's a great time to be scanning ebay for sails & rigging. Scored an electric starter for my outboard a few weeks ago.

My swing keel was making spooky sounds last time I sailed it, so I dropped the 800# steel keel in the fall. New stainless keel pin and bracket on the way, have to get that heavy ba$tard back in before I launch in May.

Out of the Florida Yacht Club?? I'm always open for a few cold ones, any room for extra ballast on the boat

I've been there a few times, and think that's the name. Somehow, my memory gets foggy on these sailing weekends. My cap'n buddy has talked about the Wed. night beer can races for years but I've never been down mid-week to participate. I think Sun. is going to be our day for playing on the water and there's always room for one (or two, or three) more. If I remember correctly, his mast is a 47 ft pole....hint, hint . I'll touch base next week when I figure out what's going on.
