alrighty....deal is done, everything went fine, car is registered etc.....

in the mail today we got the title......and it's in michelles name with no reference anywhere to the bank, just the dealer as the previous owner.
now correct me if i'm wrong, but every car i had a loan on the title was in the lending institutions name until paid off.......did someone screw up?

I'm not sure where it works where you're at, but if the title is in hand that's gives you basically ownership of the vehicle. that's supposed to go to the lender with their name on it. The registration is showing in your names with them as lienholder.
