Here's my Bahrain story:

I flew into Bahrain in September 2006, and we had to stay for two days. I'm not going to repeat the name of the hotel, but it was a name-brand based in the United States and it was right down town. Well, there had been some "rumors" about this hotel, but I hadn't heard them apparently.

-My First Officer entered his room, and after he changed out of his uniform and into regular clothes, he took a towel from the bathroom and covered the television with it. Then he pulled out his laptop, and proceded to go online.

The phone rings, an Indian voice: "Sir, we are wanting to know are you having trouble with your television?"

"No, why do you ask?"

"thank you sir, that will be all."

He returns to his laptop. A minute later, the phone rings:

"Sir, we are having to ask to you to not set anything on the television set in your room"

"I don't have anything on the television. I haven't even turned it on!" he said.

"Yes sir. We are having to ask you to not to set anything onto the television set in the rooms please".

"I told you I haven't set anything on the television. And I am coming down into the lobby now to discuss this with your manager ::click::.

Apparently, many of the hotels in Bahrain install televisions with video camera's hidden in an attempt to prevent sexual activity that the ruling Al-Khalifa family doesn't like. This was originally posted on my union's website, and when it it became common knowledge among the pilot group, it was noticed that this same thing happened at all three of the hotels we stayed at in this country!

That's not some pervert at one hotel getting his jollies watching us lonely pilots masturbating; that is plain and simple government surveilance. After all this went down, we tried this at hotels in Qatar, Kuwait, and Dubai, and nothing of the sort ever happened.

I hope the racers cover their TV's!

N!

The telemetry should clear up any doubt.. but whilst watching the race there was doubt.. until the replay...Hammy was faster and he should have been further off to the right.. he had the speed for a clean overtake and was too close...

A bit of the same red mist we saw in Brazil last year?

Interesting BMW performance tho'...I would nto be surprise if either one got to the top step... Kubica may have had first time nerves on pole but Hammy's start was a real poor show...

Here is some interesting info:

According to Axis of oversteer, check out this gif earlier in the race before Hammy took off in the air:

It seems he rear ended Alonso twice not once. The first did damage his wing the second finished it off.

Take this broken wing and... from Axis on Vimeo.

Hamilton was trying to make up i think he messed up his start big time no technical problem just no concentration if you ask me. Too bad but with mistakes like that he will never be a champion.
