Oh Canada....hehe

Boss sent this to me. Pretty good
-----------
Dear Diary

Aug. 2 - Moved to our new home in Canada . I am so excited. It's so beautiful here. The mountains are so majestic. Can hardly wait to see them with snow covering them.

Oct. 14 - Canada . It is the most beautiful place on earth. The leaves have turned all colors and shades of red and orange. Went for a ride through the beautiful countryside and saw some deer. They are so graceful. Certainly they are the most wonderful animals on earth. This must be paradise. I love it here.

Nov. 11 - Remembrance Day. Deer season starts soon. I can't imagine anyone wanting to kill such a gorgeous creature. Hope it snows soon. I love it here.

Dec. 2 - It snowed last night. Woke up to find everything blanketed with white. It looks like a postcard. We went outside and cleaned the snow off the steps and shoveled the driveway. We had a snowball fight (I won). When the snow plough came by we had to shovel the driveway again. What a beautiful place. I love Canada .

Dec. 12 - More snow last night. The snow plough did his trick again to the driveway. I love it here.

Dec. 19 - More snow last night. Couldn't get out of the driveway to get to work. It's beautiful here but I'm exhausted from shoveling. ****ing snow plough?.

Dec. 22 - More of that white **** fell last night. I've got blisters on my hands and a sore back from shoveling. I think the snow plough hides around the corner until I'm done shoveling the driveway. *******!

Dec. 25 - Merry ****ing Christmas! More frigging snow. If I ever get my hands on the son-of-a-***** that drives the snow plough, I swear I'll kill the bastard. Don't know why they don't use more salt on the roads to melt the ****ing ice.

Dec. 27 - More white **** last night. Been inside for three days now except for shoveling out the driveway after that snow plough goes through every time. Can't go anywhere, the car's stuck in a mountain of white **** and it's so frigging cold. The weatherman says to expect another 10 inches of the white **** again tonight. Do you know how many shovels full of snow 10 inches is?

Dec. 28 - That ****ing weatherman was wrong. We got 34 inches of the **** this time. At this rate it won't melt before summer. The snow plough got stuck up in the road and that bastard came to my door and asked to borrow my shovel. After I told him that I had already broken six shovels shoveling out all the **** he had pushed into my
Driveway, I damn near broke my last one over his ****ing head.

Feb. 4 - Finally got out of the house today. Went to the store to get food and on my way back a damned deer ran in front of the car. Did about $3,000 damage to the car. Those ****ing beasts should be killed. The bastards are everywhere. Wish the hunters had exterminated them all last November.

May 3 - Took the car to the garage in town. Would you believe the thing is rusted out from all that ****ing salt they put all over the roads.

May 10 - Moved to Florida . I can't imagine why anyone in his or her right mind would ever want to live in such a God forsaken country as Canada .

Eastern Canada can probably relate to a lot of this after this winter. Western Canada wasn"t to bad this year(or several years previous). Probably why many don"t complain much about global warming.

Funny how the ones who yap about Globul Wurmin are the ones who stand to profit from it. Perhaps Canada can make some $$ too? I guess they can call some kids in South Park Colorado...

Bah, it depends.

I had the best winter in years. We were bundled up and outside at least 3-4 nights a week. We're a couple minutes from the river, and that makes for excellent hiking, snowshoeing or skiing. We also got skates and went out whenver they had a section of the river cleared.

Also hiked up to the cottage a couple times to make sure everything was still battened down after storms

Then again, if I actually shovelled my driveway I'm sure I'd have a completely different perspective. There's not much I won't do to save a buck, but I won't shovel. Hell I won't even use a snowblower... I see my neighbor out there schlepping around with that thing at 6am, with snow blasting back in his face. No thanks. I get my driveway plowed, but boy I paid the piper this year... over $700. Ouch.

Still better than shovelling. A good day shovelling is when you put your back out before you have a heart attack.

Come to Arizona like the rest of your countrymen! Only last week did we start to see the "GWN" license plates start to move North. Course it did hit 90 last week so it must be time!

Can we come up there this summer? May be in Victoria/Vancouver in late May or June sometime for a few days. It better be nice and cool then!

Exactly. It's going to snow just as much, whether you love it or hate it. Might as well learn to love it.

And FWIW Rob, I was expecting you to post some pics of the winter wonderland. You've been posting great pics all winter. How about that hummer up to the doors in snow?

Here's a piece from Neil Peart's site about why he loves winter in the Laurentians so much. He and Robert Frost make snow sound so nice. No thanks!

Dear Diary

May 15 - Moved to our new home in Florida . I am so excited. It's so beautiful here. The pastel colors everywhere are so cute. Can hardly wait to go out and go trekking in the Glades

May 29 - Florida, it's great here, sunny, warm, i love it here, noticed a tiny spot of rust on my fender..

June 1st - Got a cold, damned AC's are on deep freeze in every shop you go, the temperature shock is just brutal...5 o'clock downpour easily ads 30 minutes to my commute... friggin geriatrics everwhere cloggin up the isles in shops. bit of rust on my door

June 14th - getting really hot now, the downpour's just don't cut it
Fender and doors are now officially rusted through.. i'll fix that next week after our hike in the Glades

Sept 5th - Just out of the hospital, still much revalidation to undergo, i get my custom prostetic leg tomorrow, damned alligator, never saw it coming

sept 8th - writing from parent's home, had to evacuate for the hurricane... saw our house on CNN... or rather, the plot where it used to be.. looks like i don't need to worry about fixing the door and fender, the wind's blew the rusted pos apart.. the engine block took out the CNN reporter

sept 9th - decided to move back in with parents permanently.

Nice to see one of those actually being used.
Most of the ones around here are the pretend ones (H2?), and look like they escaped from Pimp My Ride.
