Sand is for commoners.

What you want is crushed shells made from albino african swallow eggs harvested only moments before hatching, then ground into a fine powder by the coconuts they carry and bleached by the sun and salt water. Then slowly pour oil made from the australian peeka-cho plant seeds through the mixture straining it out with cheesecloth. Allow the paste to dry, then crumble once again and place it in your pit to a depth of 800mm.

Sand?... sheesh!

On second thought I think it might be your technique! Sounds like you're doing it right though. So, what's the question again?

Well the main difference with my Bocci mix and is that I prefer to wash the eggshells with unpasteurized milk instead of the oil giving it a much more compaction capability.

How do the swallows carry the coconuts? Do they grip them by the husk?

Its a question of air velocity.

I thought it was a simple matter of weight ratio. A 5 ounce bird cannot carry a 1 pound coconut.
