Have not used IE unless I had to for years now. Get with a good browser, Firefox.

I'm tellin you guys, FireFox is junk:-P

You could look up some of the FireFox Tweaking guides and try some of that, I noticed a speed increase and less locking after that.

Well on Slow's reccomendation, I downloaded Opera...I have only been using it for 20 mins, but it definitely feels faster than Firefox. I'm still tweaking all the settings to get it setup right, but this looks like a winner.

Couple questions Slow. Is there any way to change the tabbed browsing so you don't have to click on a tab but you can just hover over it? Are there any apps that allow you to open IE tabs inside of Opera (for those pesky sites that only run in IE)? Finally, can you display select bookmarks in a toolbar like in FF?

Alright I figured out the bookmarks toolbar.

I don't think I should have to change to Firefox or Opera to view Pelican (on windows and aol - have DSL)

No probs with any of the other6 or so sites I view several times a day.

I dump temp files each day and re-enter my password each morning. Still have the problem.

Any other ideas?

Did you delete cookies too? You didn't mention cookies and they are very site specific. Although deleting Internet files may also take the cookies....

I'm using IE and XP, Pelican never freezes, but occasionally pages are slow to load. I consider it the price of popularity.

Are you running any 3rd party utilities like pop-up blockers and such?

No third party PUB's.

It often does not freeze, but when I try to edit my post, or go to a thread, it talkes forever... like way over a minute... or never... but I can usually back up and try again. But that doesn't always work either.

Pelican's the ONLY place this happens.

That's why I asked about all of us buying Wayne a new server or whatever's wrong.
