Not a good weekend for wrecks, but good for the drivers who walked away with minor injuries. Kovalainen's McLaren registered 26g as he hit the tire wall. He doesn't remeber it...

Had the second car been just a meter slower it would have taken the drivers head off... Both are very lucky!

You know the one that got me, is when you look at Heikki going into the wall, his out side rim fails, he is going to the wall, but he has the steering wheel in full lock to his right, but the right front tire doesn't turn at all.
Its almost like something besides the Rim failed there. You can see it best at 33 seconds into the film. in the still shot just before he hits the wall. |
