Good Thoughts Now Needed For Our Son...

Our Son is having sinus surgury today. He will be under for a bit over an hour. He has been battling sinusitus for a few months and the antibiotics are having no effect. A CAT showed that his sinus passages are completly blocked. The Ped ENT will look to be open them up including removing a small amount of bone. The Doc said he will be as unintrusive as possable as to not harm or remove the cillia (sp) in the sinus cavity.

I am sure he will do fine. Its always scary when they go under and are poking around so close to the brain.

If you can, think of the little guy and send somemore of that positive Pelican energy! Worked like a champ for my Dad and it won't cost anything but a few calories to use your brain!

Thanks guys...

Take care of yourself. You seem to have a full plate right now.

Indeed, even the smallest procedures scare you when it's your kids. Best wishes Lube but he'll be just fine.

God bless your family Lubester. Praying for your son.

Prayers out! Don't be surprised if he is really confused about things when he wakes up.

Don't sweat it, he'll be fine. Always scary when it's your kid. My in-laws still laugh at the conversation they had with their then 10 year old daughter when she awoke from anistesia (sp) after having eye surgery for a detached retina. Tell the little guy that a bunch of strangers on the internet are praying for his quick recovery.:)

He'll be back in business in no time at all. A few months huh? Maybe you should have a plato de mexicano para almuerzo con muchos frijoles y queso? Hot box him on the way home. "The doc tells me your a real fart smeller, son":D

God bless lube - he'll be better in the future - look towards that...

Kids do pretty well with this stuff, you will be surprised how quick he is up and at 'em.

What is up with your run of too much time spent at hospitals?

I had sinus surgery about a year ago. A CT scan revealed both were blocked up with Polyps. I battled this for years. I had the surgery and went home the same day. Saturday I was shopping. Monday back to work. I can honestly say I had zero pain with the entire procedure. Nothing. Sure, A little bleeding but that was nothing. He should be fine.
