Mark my words, the price of oil will crash. It will crash just like the dot-coms and the housing market did before it.

Gotta disagree, China and the rest of the world is pushing the price up as well. The US is only about 5% of the world's population.

Not true. If we choose to buy fuel, we pay the posted price. If we choose not to buy it, then we don't have to pay their price. If enough people choose not to pay that price, it will come down.

I don't want to hear anyone say they don't have a choice and they have to buy gas or diesel, that isn't true.
Lots of folks think they need to buy it just because it is so efficient and convenient they can't see themselves doing without it, but they could if they really wanted to.

$4 per gallon is thinning out the traffic a bit here in Orygun...do I hear $5???
Plus, the "hot" V-8 domestic cars have dealerships scrambling for buyers. Next year, I might become one. IF the car I like runs well on 10% ethanol, which is now mandated here by an idiot legislature...

This, my old car, is now eating the fuel it was designed for...in Istanbul.

Yep, I've noticed significantly less traffic in the Chicago area too--it's almost back to what it was when I was in high school on the weekends.

I heard on the morning news that bicycle sales are really skyrocketing now.
