since getting direct tv 2 weeks ago and having 158 channels...........

all i watch is (2)!

history channel

military channel

thats it!

i am a bonifide dyed in the wool history junkie! cant get enough.

one of the most impressive shows was on pearl harbor and a japanese aerial photo taken above pearl harbor showing what looked to be a midgit sub. they made up a dummy midget sub, used a leica(circa) 35mm camera and also used a boat to create wake to determine if it really was a midget sub that did get into the harbor. sure as hell looked as if one did!

my dad went from san fran to hawaii to luzon, new guinea, biak. 5 years in a army aviation eng. battallion. the conditions were beyond poor. bleak would sum it up.

having been to pearl harbor and going to every spot i could and zapping mega pictures i would give my left nut to be on the national park dive service anthropological division and dive those wrecks. wow is all i can say.

someday i will get further out into the pacific and be able to say i have dived on a pacific wwII wreck as well as an atlantic wwII wreck(barbados tanker torpedoed in carlisle bay by unterseebooten).
