Rather than complicating things, why don't you just say, I'm a socialist & I want socialism for America!

I am not sure who you are talking to, but I am sure you're the only one that finds things complicated.

I'm one of the five. This poll is so absolutely stupid that I voted the outrageous position. In reality, I would vote for anyone who I think is competent, regardless of race or gender. Except for this poll, I try not to vote "stupid."

ditto. A dumb ass poll just begs for dumb ass votes.

That's a little disingenuous, don't you think?

How so? Australia has had race issues in it's history, as has the US and many, many other countries. You may well think that Australian policies of 35 years ago preclude Australians trying to understand American politics today. I don't. Obviously, I am interested in your political system, if for no other reason than as a close ally the actions of the US will directly affect Australia.
I am surprised that my effort to understand politics in the US earns such a rebuke. Would you prefer outsiders praise (or criticise) your system without making any attempt to understand it?
I may well bridle at unqualified criticism of Australia, but I am not going to foam at the mouth if some-one says "hey mate, can you tell me why.........."

frogger 05-24-2008 04:56 AM

foam belongs on beer

I also voted the absurdly stupid selection, though I am surprised it's not into serious double digits.
