Long Primary Campaign

I am wondering if this is good or bad for the Democrats? I remember something about advertising. No matter if you like, or dislike something, the more you hear the ad, the more likely you are to try the product.

Does this work with the Campaign? While the Demrocrats are having to pay for the local ads, they are getting TONS of free publicity from the press.

Comments?

This will all be over soon enough. Early June or late June depending on what happens with Florida and Michigan. That decision will come May 31st.
Either way Obama will get the nomination.

That leaves about 4 months for the two candidates to actually campaign against each other. That is a long time for McCain to try to keep his head above water.
I heard this morning McCain making a speech and trying to be witty about Obamas youth.
Obama is middle aged, not young.
He should be careful, all that he is doing is drawing attention to how old he himself is. Obamas age isn't a concern, McCains age is.
If McCain gets a middle aged VP that is going to make his choice inexperienced, by his own words. That will invalidate any credibility he may have. He doesn't dare get another old guy.
If Obama gets a middle aged VP it is youth versus old age and youth will win. If he gets an older VP that will get him the "experience" that McCain is claiming he is lacking.
Either way it shouldn't take someone like Obama that long to make obvious how incoherent McCain is.
4 months is a long time. I don't think John McCain can handle the pressure without some kind of a breakdown. You have to remember that he has been hiding in the shadows this whole time. He comes out every now and then and gives a short speech but nobody pays attention.
When he is pushed up front and center he will fall down.

I just looked at about 30 or 40 of your lasts posts. You never have more than a few sentences and always misspellings.
You're not literate are you?
I should mail a dictionary out to brokeback mountain so you could read up. Isn't it getting around 7:00 out there now.
I am sure the drunken rage replies should be good about now.

Looks like Off Ramp is back! Wondered when he would return and in which format.

Not only has he returned but someone gave him a map so he can now find another town to "call home" so to speak.

Am kinda surprised that he did not place home as "gay bay" considering all the boy sex he keeps bringing up on these threads. Oh well, hope he has fun with the crisco and his boyfriend this weekend.

Hey Wayne.... they are Gay bashing again!

Anyway, Dipso's analysis is flawed. The problem with the Dems is that the longer this goes on the more internal dissension within the party is going to take place. Hillary is not going to go quietly, losing is not in her vocabulary, she now sees an oportunity with the Tedy Kennedy illness causing a crack in Obama's backers support. Tedy K has been a MAJOR benafactor of Obama lending him huge behind the scenes support with contributers and organization.

A shill for Hillary has allready filed suit in Florida and she has now vowed to take this to the Convention floor. Hillary's slash and burn policy of winning at all costs will likily divide the Dem party forever. For instance if Obama is denied the nomination the Black vote will leave the party, like wise if Obama gets the nod all those blue collar lunch bucket Dems in the rust belt will change to McCain (remember McCain's record is very moderate and thus pallatable to the moderate Dems) or stay home. The Reps are all ready starting to disenfranchise the Jewish vote from Obama wt GW's speech beofre the Knesset in Israel, they represent 25% of the Dem base and are huge contributers. So Obama might as well kiss FL, NY OH, PA, NJ, IN, KY, WVA and possible TX goodbye.

McCain wins by default...the Dems are busy snatching defeat from an alomost certain victory.

I don't think my analysis is flawed. This is almost over, as I said above. Few weeks maybe a month. Kennedys illness shouldn't have anything to do with things at this point. By this time people are on-board or their not.
I can see the black supporters and the youth vote not showing up in mass for Hillary, but I can't see the rust belt Dems voting for McBush.
The jewish vote? I don't know, I would think they traditionally vote democratic but I don't know. This war is good for Israel so the longer it goes on the better. A lot of American Jews don't like Israels policies and I dont know if they are willing to sacrifice the country in which they live for the benefit of Israel. A third term of Bushs policies would be terrible for this country, and even the Jewish vote knows it.
I still think ol senile McCain is going to fall down when the heat is on.

It doesn't take that long, horsey. Your vocabulary only has about 60 words.

He's a super-moderate, almost liberal Republican who has consistently crossed party lines. That said, he best fits the majority of the voters in this country (slightly right of center). Unless some crafty campaign tricks skew the basic tenets, McCain will win easily over Mr. I'm so liberal I want to make the US like socialist France Obama.

If McCain picks Lieberman for a running mate, then that will probably just solidify the election.

Very true... but his campaign posturing over the past several months doesn't reflect that. Rather than having the republican base fall in line behind McCain, he seems to have too easily fallen in line behind the republican base.
