How to redo old pool side cement
I am moving to a house with a very nice but 30 year old Anthony Pool. The concrete deck around the pool is acceptable, especially for a 30 year old pool. I am wondering if anyone here has had any experience re-cementing, recoating, or whatever might make the cement look beter. Is an epoxy coating an option? I don't want to go to the point where I tear it out and replace it. It is not that bad.
Thanks. Rev. Dennis

If you are referring to the concrete pool deck around the pool and not inside of the pool then yes I know what you need to do.
Should be no problem finding someone to install a polymer modified concrete topping to the surface. Once the coating is put down in whatever texture style you like, it can then be painted, stained, or left alone. Epoxy resins mixed with aggregates are also an option but tend to be more expensive than the concrete topcoats.

Cool Deck can be applied over a decent concrete base. Also look into patterned concrete, and concrete stain.

+1 on CoolDeck, although it's a PITA when it starts releasing after about 5 years.
