I am in complete agreement.
I oppose capital punishment for a variety of reasons but one of which is NOT because there aren't people that deserve it....there are far too many that do. Atkins is one that deserved it in my opinion and since that was overturned for her, I believe she deserved the next most permanent punishment - LIFE. Letting her out because she now has a terminal disease and an amputated leg misses the point. She deserves to have stayed and only have gotten out for her burial somewhere.
