'95 Audi. Any good? what to look for?
I am going to look at a 95 Audi (unknown model) Saturday. It needs a new starter but other than that it supposedly in good shape. Been garaged its whole life.
It belong to a friend of a friend of my wife's friend who husband is a crack head. He is in rehab and his stay at home wife is selling everything off to make the huge mortgage payment. She is offering the car for $1800. All I know is it's a 4 door and a 5 speed. That is it. I am going to see the car tomorrow. Not knowing what model it is what should I look for? Speedy

- Oil leaks. Oil burning.
- electrical issues with sunroof - electrical glitches; check remote and power window operation. - ask about egr valve causing check engine light; happens all the time but he should know.

Never own one without a warranty unless you have:
a. lots of money to pay mechanics b. have a nice shop in your garage and your patient c. do not need to depend on the car to be there for you every day. There are some fine Audi's out there and there are nightmares, I have owned 2 nightmares in a row, both under warranty and I will not give the marque a 3rd chance..... ever. Get a Honda.
