This thread is about current first ladies. Why wouldn't I bring up Laura Bush? I think it's funny that she is ours. I also think it's funny that some of the more rural posters think she is a lady.

I also think it's funny to mention McCain and watch the anger level in the posts go up as sub-consciously you realize he is your guy.
I assume you don't find these things as funny as I do.

1. My contention is that the Western European / American culture has accomplished more good, educated more people, cured more illness, provided more charity to others and established the highest standard of living for the largest number of people in the history of the planet. If you disagree, please list all the other cultures with greater accomplishments.

2. Due to this we (Europe and America) have had huge influxes of immigrants from inferior cultures. Although legal immigrants are welcome, their cultures need to stay where they were. Anyone believing in the superiority of their nasty little 3rd world culture should stay there and enjoy it.

3. Unfortunately (for America), America had slaves. Luckily, for the descendants of those slaves, they landed in the greatest land on Earth, while escaping the murderous hell hole from whence they came. If they have issues with our culture, my suggestion would be to go there. We won't change this one!

Due to these points I consider the W.E. / American culture superior to any other in existence. I refuse to subjugate ours to any other for any reason. Whatever that makes me, that's what I am, including realistic!

America and Western Europe did not form in a vacuum...they stood on the shoulders of giants that came before them.

Cultures that INVENTED education, charity, mathematics, language, government, societies, cities, trades, jobs, the processing of raw materials for building...

The modern Western culture simply took those things, which OTHER, possible GREATER cultures created, and used them for their own advancement.

Do I really need to give you a listing of some of those other cultures, or can you figure them out yourself?

I need a list! I want to know what other cultures "stood on the shoulders of giants that came before them" and "took those things, which OTHER, possible GREATER cultures created" and accomplished anything similar. I especially want a list of the other "possible GREATER cultures."

Might as well give up on Mule. He's deeply rooted in cultural racism and when Mule takes a stand, he's stubborn as his moniker. Sometimes there's no going back,...well, in Mule's case seems he's pretty much always been where he is now, so that doesn't apply. May be an advanced case of anti-intellectual static cling - tough to deal with.

I'd say move on. Nothing to be accomplished here.
