The News here is reporting that Grand Juries are finally taking up the Joe Horn case.

Joe Horn shot and killed 2 illegal immigrants who broke into his neighbor's house. Both were later (found)suspected to be members of MS-13. One had already been deported before for transportation of cocaine in 1994. The "suspects" were armed and had thousands of dollars of stolen money and property.

I am glad there are neighbors like Joe Horn. I hope he is no-billed. I doubt a jury will convict him. But I do believe he is on the wrong side of Texas law.

At least they will not be doing it again. Agreed, hope my neighbours are like that as well.

Where are the reports on this? It was all over the place when it happened. Haven't seen anything since. Any ideer if Horn is paying his own legal bills?

Is there a legal defense fund for this guy that we can contribute to?

They are a HUGE and brutal gang, all Hispanic, mostly guys from Nicaragua and/or El Salvador, IIRC. They are very active in the Northern VA area. I had jury duty once for a RICO/murder trial for one of their goons.

Very brutal and would kill you just as soon as look at you. They need to be eliminated from the food chain, the sooner the better IMHO.

Well, the goon on trial when I had jury duty is now doing life without parole at the tender age of 23.

I just don't understand, life without parole, or death penalty. Seems the DP is the better option for everyone involved.

Would you care to back that up with a reference? I've seen ZERO information supporting that statement, but it's possible that somewhere it was snuck into the news on page 13 somewhere.

Or...were you speed reading, and got the MS-13 gang fight and murder that was on trial around that time mixed in with this story?

OK...what about mine? I'm still wondering why you would decide to fall in with the kind of crowd that (1) would claim that these men were MS-13 and (2) seem to think that such data then justifies them being slaughtered via premeditated murder.

So, please please PLEASE find me some facts showing that these guy were MS-13, and not just some ragamuffin thieves. I won't even bother with arguing whether Joe Horn should be put to trial or not, I jsut want to see where these "facts" are coming from, and why you would post them as if they were actually "facts".

I think being MS-13 by itself justifies shooting them. But I didn't see any mention in the news that they were MS-13.

This guy is a hero. Plain and simple. We should be giving him a medal, not a trial.

Red, I saw the same info about the dead perps being MS 13 members as well. I was searching for the source, possibly in the Chron but can't seem to find it now.

However just for exercise, can you Pazuzu explain the reason gang affiliation or lack of would affect the justification of deadly force on these guys.
