Algore's Grand Dad

I have just discovered that Algore's grand dad, Jedediah Algore tried unsuccessfully to instigate hay & oat conservation. He knew that the hay & oat feilds could not produce enough to support the hay & oats required to feed all the additional horses & other livestock revuired for the growing population. He warned of wrath from a creature called wolfgoatpanther, who was half wolf, half goat and half panther, and that this creature was even more dangerous than manbearpig.:D

Jim, I've finally figured out your position on everything. "Personally I have no position on anything. But it's always different than everybody else's." Let us know when you develop A. a spine, B. gonads or C. an opinion. In the mean time, your approach is sinking as fast as tabs'.

Porsche-O-Phile 06-23-2008 05:21 AM

These "global climate change is a myth" threads have got the be the stupidest things I read on a daily basis. They are a poor reflection on the intellect of the writer.

While impact may or may not be overstated, it's hard to deny (for anyone with a shred of objectivity and/or intellect) that humans are doing great harm to our planet.

Jim Richards 06-23-2008 05:30 AM

My position is clear, Mule. I'm just not a simple hater. I also like to make fun of you since you are so easy to pick on.

My position: Fiscal conservative, pay down the national debt, and live within our means. Socially moderate-to-conservative. No social hot-button issues warrant consideration by our gov't for the next decade or so while we straighten out our major problems. Maintain the liberties afforded by the Constitution. Wire-tapping is a scary intrusion that should be closely monitored by the courts. Pro-gun. Pro-tort reform. Reduce the federal nanny state. Not bought into global climate change (sorry algore :p), but see the wisdom in conserving the resources of our planet - it's a national security issue. Support free trade, if everyone plays by the rules (when does that happen? :( ). Protect our borders and ports. No anmesty for illegal aliens. I'd like to see them squeezed back to their home counrties. Afghanistan = good, Iraq = stupid. National infrastructure is crumbling and requires investment for the future prosperity of this nation. Congressional term limits are something I'd like to see us ammend the Constitution for. I'm sure there's more to say, but I'm drawing a blank at the moment. :)

Finally, I'm NOT a neo-conservative. They are better named faux-conservatives or closet liberals. Never let these idiots have the keys to the castle again!

MRM 06-23-2008 06:56 AM

Jim, Mule drinks nothing but the kool aid before breakfast.

Jim Richards 06-23-2008 06:59 AM

The Commission is keeping him well supplied. It's always good to have these fellows under their control.

Watch it Jim...yer fixin' to get bit in the "mule"! After the past 8 years, my "mule" is so sore that I wouldn't even feel another bite. I've been a registered Republican for 30 years, and have nothing but disdain for the current administration's policies and inept leadership. I'm certainly no fan of Obama (nor any politician for that matter), but "we Republicans" have screwed up so badly that frankly, we've got it coming. I have also come to the conclusion that the most vocal political posters on PPOT would "kick mule" in a 3rd grade name calling contest :).

ps: Jim, do ya want to be President...I could vote for your "platform" in a heartbeat as it reflects pretty much how I feel about things too.

I don't think man can even do a sliver of damaged to the Earth than the Earth can do to itself. Volcano erruptions, for example, can do way more damage to the atmosphere, but the Earth seems to always bounce back. We can launch all the nukes on the planet, we (and all life cept Cockroaches) would be gone but the Earth would keep going 'round. Eventually the atmosphere would clear again and life would flourish.

The whole "Save Earth" crap should be "Save The Humans", cause that's all we care about in the end. It's instinct for any animal. If it came down to Humans or the Duck-Billed Platypus, who would we be rooting for?

Mule 06-23-2008 02:00 PM

Funny how Jim who claims the following:

immediately set about hijacking the tread without touching the fact that trying to save the last oat is no more sensible than trying to save the last barrel of oil.

Jim Richards 06-23-2008 02:09 PM

If your livestock can happily eat something other than oats, then why pump the last barrel of oil?

You must love being tied to hip of Chavez and the Saudis.

You sure that 500 mi trip didn't make you light headed? :p

The oxycontin must be kicking in. Tf there is any sense in this statement, it supports my point. Did I never tell you about the risks of tearing your hymen while straddling the fence?

You must love being tied to hip of Chavez and the Saudis.

That reading comprehension thing doing you in again huh? Drill here, Drill now, Pay less. Is that too much for you to grasp?

Me & my V8 carbon footprint arrived fine. Not 1 manbearpig sighting! Thanks for asking.

Jim Richards 06-23-2008 02:25 PM

You and Byron sure have this lite in the loafers love of big colorful fonts. Whassup with that?

Glad you made it OK. We need our easy targets here on PPOT. :)

nostatic 06-23-2008 02:29 PM

no we don't

Mule 06-23-2008 02:33 PM

I know you have this vision of yourself as some foil of me. That is just one more thing you are confused about. The colors are to make things easier to understand for the comprehensionally challenged, ie you. Is that some nutless way of calling me a ******? Dude, you better go back to single A for a few years before you take another crack at the big leagues. Maybe you & tabs could get a group deal for lame poster rehab or maybe a course in cool. I'm just saying.

Porsche-O-Phile 06-23-2008 03:05 PM

Anyone thinking that mankind doesn't do harm to the environment needs his/her head examined.

I'll come over your place and take a nice steamy crap in your drinking water. Then tell me humans have no impact on the environment, k? Multiply by 6,000,000,000. Twice a day. Now you'll (maybe) start to get the picture.

Jesus, relax.

I didn't say humans don't harm the planet, I was just making a comparison on what we do, compared to what the Earth's natural processes do. People really need to separate the whole "Planet is dying" from "Our environment is dying" crap. That was my point.

Then we could both go to the emergency room & they could remove my foot from where you just crapped. Ya'll not have sewerage out there in CA?

And that has exactly what to do with conserving oats or oil Dipsh it?

DanielDudley 06-23-2008 04:52 PM

Well, the Acorn doesn't fall far from the tree, Mule.

Oats, OTOH, are a renewable resource and crude oil a finite one. Add to that that the post on one grandad seems to be genuine, and the other some kind of fairy tale ALiGory, and well, it DOES seem to fit into this thread, just not in any way that you might like.

Spot on with the oat's being renewable. Does it matter? Not really huh? Give that some thought.
