Official official thread
I think most sports fans have loved and hated officials/referees/umpires, depending on the call.
Here's one of my favorite football calls - this one at about 38 seconds into it: |

#69 "givin' him the business". Classic.

Perhaps the worst call in the history of professional sports.

Who gives a F*C*? I mean really. Would this game have changed your life? Probably not, so find something else to do. Remember sports are entertainment. What I find amusing is the people that I knew were 'jocks' in HS are losers now living in the past. Early to mid 40's and have nothing going for them talking about that game back in the day in HS. What's really sad is they peaked at what 17? The amusing part is that their kids are dorky today. When they talk about it they try to separate themselves from their own kids because they aren't jocks. That's sad too. I feel bad for their kids.......

No, all I'm saying is that 'wrong' calls in sports happen all the time. I mean, don't be so hung up on it and take it for what it is. Entertainment. Because at the end of the day it doesn't mean S*IT.

Look, you guys are mistaking my post as a slam on moses, it's not. If it comes across that way then sorry.
All I'm saying is people get hung up on these calls and sports in general to the point of yelling, fighting, even killing each other over them. What I'm saying is don't get so hung up on it because it's entertainment. That's all it is. So at the end of the day who gives a crap. The other thing is just a general comment about some people that I know that thought they were the s*it back in the day and now they're not. It's funny and sad at the same time.

That was Ron Cherry, he works for N&S railroad, and does ACC games.
