Very sad. I got to know Dave when putting my previous '72 together. I called him to see if he had any wheels and we ended up just chatting about Porsches for a rediculously long time. That pattern repeated itself several times while I owned that car... call to ask about a rare part, then spend half an hour discussing cars. I'm sorry I never made it out to meet him in person.

Dave helped my with my 914-6 ten years ago, and made me laugh when he told me about the time he reached in to start his 914-6 conversion with 3.2 Motronic while it was in gear.

Some of Dave's friends and I got together and had a Wake for him last night. He wouldn't have been disappointed. I'll miss my friend.

![]() We did a bit of business together. I was not aware of his injury, but now I know why a couple of my e-mails to him went unanswered. Very sad. R.I.P. Dave. ![]() |
