Lucy, can you 'splain this?

This afternoon I was cruising down the Interstate when I saw something strange about a trailer full of new cars being transported. On the open stack trailer (operated by C.A.R.S. of Texas), there was a load of brand new Chrysler/Jeep vehicles. What struck me as odd was the fact that EVERY front window on each vehicle was rolled down (both sides). It's not the fact that it would take the driver over 10 minutes to roll up the windows in case of a sudden downpour, but what is the purpose of transporting new vehicles in this fashion? This is the first time I've seen it done. Not only the possibility of rain, but dust would seen to be a problem. Do you think the driver was drunk when loading them in the hot sun and just forgot to roll the windows back up?

How about maybe they were new cars from a flooded dealer's lot in Iowa being sent somewhere else, and the windows were down to dry out the interior?

For the intended purpose of having people posting in car forums asking why they would do something like that..?

Common. Just going from local terminal to dealer. Fairly short trip.

Have to roll down wdo to load/unload cars, so just leave it down - stays cooler.

That sounds "doable". but the closest Chrysler/Jeep dealer was 80 miles away.
