Great story. 40+ loving, loyal dogs saved from evil hearted human monsters. What I wouldn't give to spend some time alone with of of those guys. A pillow case with about 6 D cell batteries and a half an hour should be enough to make the point.

Brandon Bond is a world class tattoo artist who has setup shop right here in Marietta, Georgia. He is deeply involved with this project to save as many of these badly abused animals as he can. He's working with The Georgia SPCA and has setup his own site, Atlanta Pitbull Rescue in an effort to save them.

He's worked quite a bit on this project, including helping to create a documentary about these dogs.




The fact that these dogs are still suffering and Vick gets to sit on his a$$ in a jail cell makes me ill.

Great article Red, thank you. Lets hope the state of Virginia doesn't pussy out and not go after him when his fed sentence is up. Wouldn't that just be a kick in the ass having to go back in the slammer for state charges. At the very least it will cost his sorry ass millions in attorney fees. Piss poor excuse for a human being.

Here in the bay area, BadRap.org has also rescued a number of the Vick dogs, along with a bunch of other wonderful, misunderstood dogs. Here's their blog about the rescue. I'm going to give my pit-mix a big hug now (snif).

I've known two pit bulls in my life. Both were happy, tail wagging dogs who lived for a hug or a scratch on the head. I'm glad Vick is paying for his dogs upkeep. He owes them. If any NFL team signs Vick after his release I will be mightily disappointed. Vick is not much better than a child molester.

Michael Vick Files For Bankruptcy

RICHMOND, Va. -- Imprisoned quarterback Michael Vick is seeking bankruptcy protection, saying he owes between $10 million and $50 million to creditors.

Vick filed Chapter 11 papers in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Newport News on Monday. The seven largest creditors listed in the court papers are owed a total of about $12.8 million.

"The hope is that (Vick ) can, after the conclusion of the bankruptcy case, rebuild his life on a personal and spiritual level, resurrect his image as a public figure, and resolve matters with the NFL such that he can resume his career," Vick's lawyers said in the bankruptcy papers.

Vick is serving a 23-month prison sentence at the U.S. Penitentiary in Leavenworth, Kansas, after pleading guilty last year to bankrolling a dogfighting ring. He was subsequently suspended indefinitely without pay and lost all his major sponsors, including Nike. He also faces state charges related to dogfighting.

According to the filing, the debt includes a $3.75 million prorated signing bonus the Atlanta Falcons are seeking to recover.

I couldn't find a link however saw the news story the other day of a man that was sentenced to life for raping and killing a 6 year old girl.

How do we allow a piece of crap like that burden the tax payers is beyond me. Th *****ing piece of **** should be put to death instantly and creamated and burried with no grave markings.
