Los Angeles Area Car Storage
Hello All,
An acquaintance of mine has opened a car storage facility in the L.A. area, and as one who is in need of car storage, I thought this would be of interest to the community as a whole. The owner's name is Curt (not me) and should you want to contact him his cell is 626-437-6838. The facility is well secured and is equipped with both an alarm and video surveillance system. He's a big Porsche guy, but of course, it is open to all makes, including trailers, boats, RV's, etc. Just for your info. Cheers.

Any idea on:
- hours of access (is it 24/7)? - rates - insurance requirements? A lot of places I've looked at restrict your hours of access, charge an arm and a leg and require you to keep full coverage/current policy on the car, which is (IMHO) kind of stupid for a non-driven/stored vehicle. I think they do this just to avoid a higher umbrella premium on the facility for any damage to vehicles stored therein, but it's a pain. Thanks for sharing.

To answer some of the questions;
- I believe he is going to maintain a "standard business hour" type of schedule seven days a week, but provide access outside those hours on a by-appointment basis. - Owner will be required to maintain regular insurance coverage in effect. The idea here is not to have non-working projects sitting around, but to have nice, working cars for people who don't have the space or live out of the area, but who want to come in on occasion, get their car and drive it, or swap cars on a rotating basis so they can keep a different car at home all the time. - As for rates, depends on indoor or outdoor, and whether you're storing a motorcycle, boat, trailer, car, etc. You can gt specifics from him. Happy to help. Cheers. |

Facility
Yes, that's part of the facility. The cars are parked like that because it was an open house and people were there just for morning coffee and to hang out for a bit.
