I think Jackson knew what he was doing. He's being divisive, though I'm still not sure why. The real problem is Obama is too accepting of Jackson's apology. The term "push over" comes to mind.

I saw JJ on Good Morning America this a.m. The fella that conducted the interview was treating JJ like an untouchable. It made me want to vomit!

JJ's statement was: "I am a homerun hitter. Sometimes homerun hitters strike out. The public should look at my box scores and recognize what I am all about. I have the Dr. King conference scheduled for next week... blah, blah blah"

The worst thing about Jesse Jackson is he had all the experience, background, and opportunities to really make a difference in our country. Instead, he chose to become a divisive, hypocritical, racially inflammatory, cartoon.

Dr. King must be rolling in his grave.

The speculation (on the Rush talk show) is that JJ believe that many whites hate him, so if he makes a "mistaken comment" like this against Obama, the whites can see BO as a victim and will vote for him just because JJ doesn't like him.

Jesse Jackson's own son said that his father is doing more harm than good and is at times an embarrassment. How pathetic is that?

BTW, Dr. King isn't rolling in his grave, he's probably proud of jesse. he taught him every thing he knows and king was no saint. He may have been a better con man that jesse, but they are two peas from the same pod.

Jesse's scam organization,the rainbow coalition was started by the good doctor king. King backed away from it and handed it over to Jesse because it was getting some bad publicity for being sleazy and he wanted to distance himself from it for political reasons. It was still King's and still profited from it, he just had a different front man to take the heat.
Dr. King flunked out of college for plagiarizing his thesis. He stole more than half of it, word for word and got caught.
He was later re-instated and given a second chance because "it was a cultural thing". The university ruled that stealing someone else's papers or speeches was a common practice among black preachers so punishing him for it would be discriminatory. You can't make this kinda ***** up.

This comment about "him talking down to blacks" might indicate JJ does not consider BO one of his own. THAT would cause the real problems here.
