Tony Snow Dies
Former press secretary Tony Snow finally lost his battle to Colon cancer at the age of 53. He was a great man and will be missed by many. He was a top notch class act guy.

I really liked that guy...years before he was Press Sec. What a talent. Nice voice and good common sense. I shall miss him.

I started reading Tony back in the early '90's. Brilliant! He will be missed. A wit and expressive self will be missed.

I loved watching him on TV, he was cool, made fools of people that didn't even know what was happening. Really smooth. I liked watching him talk to Allen Combs, putting him in his place with ease. I will miss that. Newt does it but Tony did it great.

As the Docs here will tell you, GET A COLONSCOPY!!! I had one at 49 and the doc found two polyps that are apparently of the kind that can turn cancerous. I had another one a year later and now I'm on the five year plan. Apparently its almost 100% preventable since they are slow growing cancers. It doesn't hurt, and you don't even realize it occurred; unlike a prostate exam.

My grandfather died of colon cancer. My dad had a colonoscopy done, and he was so proud of his pictures, he sort of showed them off in a strange way. I went to my mom and dad's house to visit. I went to the fridge to get something to eat, and I noticed something on the fridge door, right? "hmm, what is that? The Chunnel?....ewwww!" True story.

He was a genuine, likable guy, which means a lot in the world of news folk and politicians.
RIP. |

From what I heard, Tony had been totally on top of his screenings and it still got him. Godspeed.
I had the privilege of chatting with him once about 10 yrs. ago. We were standing in line together at a Starbucks in Alexandria. He was a very cool guy. At that time I only knew him as the guy who subbed when Rush was on vacation.
