Bent Wheel

My buddy's wife has a Renntech 500 CLK Mercedes. Apparently 1 wheel is slightly bent. The local (questionable) wheel shop says that it is bent at the hub and not repairable. Anybody know for sure?

Those wheels are expensive enough to justify getting a second opinion. There is a machine called something like roadforce or similar (sorry I can't remember the name) that will measure the run out in a rim, maybe you will find a Mercedes or BMW dealer around there that will have one. If the tire shop is just guessing because when they try to balance the wheel and it is asking for a lot of weight then definitely take it somewhere that won't mind swapping the tires from wheel to wheel to at least eliminate the tire as the issue.
