I need new painting equipment. Where are the Cabinet/woodworking forums?

I'm trying to finish out a project, and my airless sprayer is nearly kaput. My brother is fabricating the kitchen cabinets and several built-in cabinets, which will need to be painted (paint/glaze/lacquer). Trying to decide whether to buy a new airless and separate HVLP rig (for the cabinets), or try the newish Graco air-assisted airless rigs (for everything). I can't find much about the Graco Finishpro 395, but the few comments I've seen have all been good.

Does anyone know forums where I can get more information?
Jurgen

Straight ahead. 'Bout a quarter mile. Just past the bus stop. Can't miss it.

Separate airless for whatever and dedicated HVLP for spraying enamel. The air assisted airless is going to blow paint everywhere. HVLPs work on about 8 PSI.
Airless would be faster for ****ty production work but I don't think that is what you are doing.

HVLP is the only way to go . With a cup, not a hose.
Clean, easy to clean, easy to change materials and lots more adjustments as to fan size, fan width, pressure, volume.

Plus if you run acrylic enamel through the hose on an airless you better make sure it is very clean before you run the lacquer. The lacquer will dissolve and drag the paint into your finish work.

A HVLP is so much easier and a lot more economical.

Yeah, dipso. Seems like separate dedicated rigs are probably best. A company selling AAA and conventional spray equipment states that air-assisted (AAA) is good for high production work, but offers no better quality than conventional sprayers.

I would like be able to spray trim and doors with this new spray rig, and the AAA promotes low overspray. It could handle the waterborne enamels without thinning. However, I'm not going to spend an extra $1000 for that convenience. IF I could do everything with the AAA rig, I'd be willing to spend the $2k. Doesn't sound like that's the best route.
