				Anyone use PeopleFinders.com?

			Hi all,

I'm trying to find some old friends & relatives & I came across this site peoplefinders.com. Now, I'm a bit of a skeptic. Especially since I do have a bit of a news background, I usually can dig up all sorts of information, but I have been coming up empty on this one... Anyway, I'm looking for people outside the state of Florida, so most of the contacts I've made in my journalism career can't help me. My question is, is this a legit site or is there a better way (And I'm sure there is, I just don't know it yet)? |

I used them once. Paid 25 bucks.

Within 3 days they had located an old university friend, now living in a trailer park in Las Vegas, New Mexico. I was impressed.

Zabasearch.com is fairly OK and free.. at least, what I've used it for. I used peopfinders to find someone... and now wish I hadn't. A lot of the information they came up with was very old, but it pointed me in the right direction. couple other good sites, but I forget what they are.

Site Advisor's rating of Peoplefinders flags the site as ok, (green check mark) but with the following issues:

			- the site spams. (1 rater noted this) - it produces excessive pop-ups. (1 rater noted this.) - someone using it had a bad shopping experience. (1 rater) Zabasearch eval from siteadvisor came up with a free flag as well, but with the following issues: - Adaware, spyware, or virus issues (2 raters) - Bad shopping experiecne (1 rater). When I come across a website that may or may not be the next "sliced bread" I check it via McAfee SiteAdvisor Software – Website Safety Ratings and Secure Search to see if the site is legitamite or not. If it is legit, then I proceed. Me, paranoid? Neh-ver! ![]() -Z-man.

Zaba followed by the link at the bottom which takes you to Intellius. The Intellius page you land on is not easily navigated to thru their home page but it shows cross links to relatives and age. Between the two and some sleuthing, you can find almost everyone that has a public record of any sort.
