And I'm not talking about the political threads either.

There is a bunch of people doing that, are you whinning about them and reporting posts too?

Mule 2.0

I must say that at times I ran across a few bugs in Mule 1.0, but a few software glitches on Al Gore's Internet software apps doesn't bother me. Try Mule 2.0 for a while or delete (ignore) the application completely if you're so inclined as the beta version is being checked out. Mule 1.0 was a stripped down RISC version of Mul 1.0 AND Mul 2.0, and that system was "canned" sometime back. Any application that channels John Lennon is probably OK in my book :)

People answer a poll honestly, you call em lib haters.

Joe thinks it's all about the politics with Mule so I give him my honest POV and it's whining.

There are others doing it makes it right?

You're almost as bad as Mule.

He's teaching you well.

Just the residual quotes are enough.

Same here, it's like the dog is locked out of the house and chained in the backyard but you can still smell his stench.

There is more than one reson I'm not posting as much anymore, Mule is at the top of the list.

This board is ruined by this arse clown.

.

Never said anything about libs, another poor try by you to make something it isn't. But that's your constant ploy.

but then again the internet is serious business.

You do whine...A LOT.

And what doesn't make it right is when Mods and the other whinners like you have no problem when your crew is on the attack rather than being attacked.

And now you're attacking me...nice!

Now, if libs are so much for free speech, why are they always trying to shut others up??? Why do they start so many threads attacking other PP members?? say what you want about Mule, but at least he isn't starting threads trying to slam those he disagrees with.

Um...fixed that. Almost every thread he starts IS trying to slam someone he disagrees with...liberals, Gore, etc.

Ok - my head is spinning here...

Just some observations:
  • EVERYONE's panties seem to be in a bunch. Folks - it is the interwebnet. Not worth getting weggies over it!
  • If ya don't like what a user is saying, you have some options:
    1. Attack. <-- BAD IDEA.
    2. Use the Ignore button. <-- Better idea.
    3. Respond in a manner you would if you were discussing a speeding ticket with a judge. <-- Best idea.
  • Todd (Nostatic) and I try to moderate this place as best we can, but believe it or not, we both have a life outside of here. While I can't speak for Todd, frankly, I am just sick and tired of the childish atmosphere here. And don't try to blame the mods for the bickering, the personal attacks, and the negative energy around here. We are not your parents, and this is not grade school. If you wish to behave in a manner befitting the local playground, I suggest you surf on over to clubsi.com or some other juvenile website. (No offense meant for serious Honda owners and drivers...)
  • Rather than complain about the current atmosphere here in OT, make an effort to alter the noise to information ratio. Take action and make a change here.
  • Last I saw, this is the Pelican Parts Off-Topic forum - NOT the Pelican Parts libs vs. neocons forum. There are far more topics to be discussed here other than politics. Concerned about your upcoming colonosopy? Let us know. Going to that wedding in West Virginia next week? Post up yer picks from the Waffle House! Went on a date last night, which was your last date? Oh wait, nevermind....
  • It is an election year. The political mud-slinging tends to escalate. And it may get worse before it gets better - how many months till November?!?!
  • There is a fine line between heated debates and arguing on the internet. Learn to know the difference, and stay on the proper side of the line.

Give us all a break.
-Z-man.

I'm just really surprised this thread has been allowed to go to Page 3. While it probably wasn't started to be a Blast-fest towards Mule, it certainly went in that direction pretty damn fast.

What's even more surprising is that not just one, but TWO moderators have made an appearance here, indicating they HAVE seen the theme of this thread and neither one of them has closed it.

Mods? SmileWavy

Randy

edit: ...and before anyone says it, NO, Mule does not need me, or anyone else, to defend him. He does a good job of that for himself. That's a lot more than can be said for some other pos(t)ers here.

t951 07-18-2008 06:28 AM

I know this has been mentioned before, but I think it's not a bad idea.

Could we have a sub-forum of Off-Topic for politics. It would really keep the off-topic section a lot more fun. And yes I realize we don't have to click on political threads, but I think it might make for a less tense "atmosphere".

just my .02

we close a thread, people complain. We leave a thread open, people complain.

We tend to err on the side of leaving things open. Normally I won't close something unless it gets reported. As I have repeatedly stated (as has Z), that is the user's tool to complain. Some here LOVE to bicker and whine just for sport rather than really getting offended. It can be difficult to tell the difference sometimes.

And personally I think Mule revels in these types of threads so why would he want them shut down?

Like Z, I'm getting tired of this forum and a small handful of people who exist merely to stir ***** up and/or needle others in a mean-spirited way. It's often not a fun place.
