New toys. :D:D

So in the past week i have bought a new airsoft rifle.

Its a neonfire brand and it feels very solid and shoots really nice. Anybody here ever play airsoft?
I also bought one of the little cheap rc helicopters. Its fun if i can keep the thing from spinning in circles. Any hints?

for the helicopter, be sure to trim it out... tons of fun, but only indoors. i fly them at hangar at work.

Ya ive been working on trimming it. Im having problems with it not wanting to stay anywhere near the same level. It also seems like after about a minute of flight it will only go about 6" off the ground.

use full throttle to get it up, and then give it about 60% throttle to hover. if it came with some little aluminum tape, you can try and balance out the CG if it wants to pitch up or down.

make sure the batteries are fully charged....i can get almost 10 minutes out of mine, if im easy on the throttle

when you're trimming it....if it spins to the left, just hold down the right trim until it stops turning. i fiddled with mine quite a bit, before i realized how easy it was. (i kept making small adjustments, when you can input fairly large amounts) ....get it to hover, and then trim her out

Have someone else fly the helicopter, while you try to shoot it down with the airsoft...

haha, be careful of the tailrotor.....that little tiny motor in the back is the achilles heel of the machine. it's not that the tail rotor blade breaks....the motor will easily become separated from the airframe. at that point, it's shot.

Im not too worried. If i break it to bad it will just become donor parts for the next $20 helicopter. Now I think the full auto airsoft would destroy the heli in short order so unless you are gunna fund the next one im not gunna. Now if you send a replacement i will totally videotape it.

I have the same little helicopter. I get about 10 minutes of flight time and yes you have to spend a lot of time in flight trimming it out.

'Real deal' or just a tricked out AK? I am under the impression that they are fairly rare/expensive.
