Vacationing in Big Bear, riding the "Alpine Slide". One hand to control speed/brake, the other to shoot

There is one in my mom's home town in Germany. Lots of fun as a kid. I managed to flip over through one of the turns and also managed to leave the slide and "fly" as well. Good times!

Good you left the track. Have seen those things dish out some epic cases of road rash.

Were in Germany is Mom. Ray and I are from Stuttgart.

Once I left the track, once I ended up on my back with the sled on top of me in the track. No problems, I was worried about the person behind me though.

She is from the Harz Mountains, a little town called Sankt Andreasberg.

Man that looks like a blast, i may have to take a road trip down to big bear.
How thick was the stack of liability release forms?
Looks like you could easily get killed if you left the track

you sign an electronic release much like point-of-sale at a store. You get going pretty quick, and I ease up in one or two places because you ride up high in the corner and the exit runs out of track there. I've never seen anyone go off there but I imagine it happens and it is ugly because most are wearing shorts and maybe a t-shirt.

For some reason the boy loves to do that thing...favorite activity in Big Bear (though he wanted to drive a fast speed boat rather than the 40hp rental pontoon thing). I don't know where he gets that love of speed...

Figures. No waivers in Germany. Only a little sign to warn of the dangers.
