Man don't even say things like that. Dallas would be a lock to go to the superbowl with favre at QB.

I was at the game in Dallas where Favre got hurt early, Rogers sucked it big time and Romo whooped up on GB like no tomorrow. I'd love it if Farvre came to Dallas to be the backup QB to Romo. Dallas would definately be a lock for the title :D

You may have been at the game but my guess is you were to drunk to remember what really happened. Favre threw 2 picks early and had us down big . Rogers came in and got us back in the game by leading the team on multiple scoring drives, completing 69% of his passes, throwing a TD with zero interceptions and ended the game with a QB rating of 104.8. If you think that's the definition of "sucking it up" I suggest you either check with Webster or give up trying to be a football analyst. Did you really think you could just make stuff up and someone that actually knows football wouldn't call you on it? As far as adding Favre to Dallas you can have him. I'd love to see the two biggest playoff choke artists of the past few years play on the same team. It would be a race to see which one would pee their pants first.

Favre in a Pats uniform would be something, but I just don't see it happening. NE has their guy.

I don't think there's any chance at all of him coming to Philly.

Latest rumors are the Packers offered Favre $20M to stay retired. Huh? Just when I thought I understood the situation and all the possible scenarios...:(

I give up.

jeeze take it easy cowboy ;) Yes I remember quite well that Favre was the one that actually sucked it up and Rogers was actually impressive, but Dallas was just a little better. Sarcasm doesn't work well on the interweb.

Kerry, the PPOT convention is to use green font for sarcasm. Like you say, it doesn't always translate well on the interweb.

Yeah I think they are going to play him through his contract he will probably get hurt(the big 1) and finally retire so Rodgers can play at that point

I give up.

Based on that, I will offer to stay retired from the Packers for only $18M.

Jim Richards 07-31-2008 06:35 AM

A measly $17M will keep me at home. :)

Porsche-O-Phile 07-31-2008 06:37 AM

All right, 16.5. But that's my final offer.

Jim Richards 07-31-2008 06:44 AM

I'd sell myself for a paltry $15M. I'm that easy.

MRM 07-31-2008 07:49 AM

I spoke to my agent and attorney at great length, and they have advised me to announce that I too will agree to not play for the Green Bay Packers this season for $20 million. I will not get into a bidding war with any other nonplayer or team. I do not compete on price; my value is in my unique skills. If you want to keep me out of your organization you have to pay me full value. I look forward to a successful year of not playing. I think my best years in this regard are still to come.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1217519344.jpg

Yup, a slight overreaction on my part. Say, when was the last time you guys won a playoff game? :D

If Romo could keep his mind on the game instead of what blonde he's porkin then they might could win one. The last playoff win has been far to long ago for us life long Cowboy fans. Hopefully the momentum stay with us and we can have another 13 game season and actually win in the post season

Mule 07-31-2008 10:05 AM

He needs to take his 278 interceptions & head back to scenic Kiln MS and his favorite hang out, the Broke Spoke.

Yeah but Tony Romo blows lots of the little games too. ;)

I thought he really showed what he was made of the last time they played the Saints, a 42-17 shellacking in which Sean Peyton had the Saint kneel 4 downs in a row (out of respect for the Tuna) & hand the ball over to the Cowgirls. Peyton called off the dogs mid way through the 3rd. Could have put up 60, maybe 70!
