gun dudes..what's this Winchester 30-06 worth?

I tried looking on Gunbroker, but I couldn't find an exact match. I can't for the life of me remember what I paid for this 10 years ago. Probably a couple hundred bucks. Looking to sell it cheap, but don't want to leave too much on the table.

The scope is a crappy Bushnell and is not worth much at all.

If it is pre 1964 it's worth even more. Pretty stock

damn i have one already. same caliber. is that a pre64? take a closer pic of the bolt from the other side. the stock looks beat. any work done to it, or is it in stock form? for the record, those gun "travel cases" are terrible for long term storage.

Wow. Thanks guys. I was about to sell this at a garage sale. Serial number is G1091386. Not sure if that tells me how old this is. Here are some more pics. No work done to it since I've owned it.

Stock is kind of worn.

Maybe I could sweeten the pot with a SIG Pro 2340 in .357.

Looks like it was made in 1973. Lots of info here (it will take some reading and there is a suggestion on page 2 on where to get an accurate value, which seems to be north of $500):

If someone offered me ~$500 I'd sell this in a hearbeat. I'm trying to fund an engine rebuild!

How's it group at 100 yards? Factory ammo...(edit)...wish we lived closer together...I'd take it to the range, then decide.

It's clearly a post '64 push-feed Model 70. Sorry to break this to you and be the bearer of bad news and all of that, but it's the least sought after, lowest valued Model 70 ever made. No collecter value at all. Worth maybe a couple hundred bucks at a gun show, and you may be lucky to even sell it. Maybe a hunter with little knowledge of (or interest in) Model 70's will buy it as just a "cheap '06", but serious gun nuts won't even look at it. Sorry. The years those were produced were very dark years for us Model 70 fans...

Looks like an early '70's model, common caliber in 80% or so condition. The recoil pad isn't adding to the value. I wouldn't feel bad about taking $500 for it. Doesn't mean someone won't give you $800 for it.
