Went to the beach today

Nice day at Aliso Creek Beach (South Laguna). My wife and I go there all the time, 20 minute drive.
The parking lot is adjacent to the beach so I dont have to carry all my crap too far ie Ice chest, Chairs, umbrella ect.
The beach is a real tourist beach. There is a shorebreak and my wife and I are so entertained by the tourists getting "creamed", by the waves.
This rarely happens, but 4 hours in, a family with a 8 and 5 year old's (girls) park right in front of us. The 5 year old cried for 2 straight hours, " I wanna go home" over and over. There must have been a 1000 kid s on the beach, everyone having lots of fun, but this brat never stopped WTF
Dont get me wrong I love kids, but if my kid (she's in college now") ever acted up like that, it would happen once.
The Father just talked on the cell the whole time, the mother did nothing.
Thank God the 8 year old got creamed by a wave and she started crying non stop too.
They left soon after that.

I finished closing the year-end books today and my audit is finished.....that's almost as good as going to the beach but no sand in my ears.

Its a Sunday morning ritual here, at the beach by 9ish and home again by 1-2.

We go to a quiet locals beach and do not get much of that.

We get more complaints from the 4.5 year old when its time to leave.

What kid doesn't want to be at the beach?

Must be a martian.

Now that you mention it, the "gene pool" was not all there.

Just towed the pop up camper up to Rincon Pt. in Ventura. Parked it for the weekend and will be going out there Friday night. I'd love to go up tomorrow instead of Friday, but too many other plans for my vacation days. When I win the CA lottery I'm going to buy a house on the beach at Rincon Pt.
